The Grounded Self:

The first fundamental is understanding one’s relationship to gravity. It is a pull on our material selves, and we are affected by it each and every moment we are connected to the earth. The constancy of gravity allows us to experience static relationship, where the attract/repel force is steady and constant.

The practice of grounding allows us to feel gravity pass through us, and we develop and internal experience of sensing and adjusting to that force. In this practice we will bring explicitness to the internal experience, drawing on one’s own metaphors and introducing new metaphors to bring clarity to this process.

We progress by being able to observe this phenomenon, discovering the limits of our interaction with this phenomenon, and ultimately finding choice in our interactions. The end goals of each session are to be more grounded and balanced, both internally and externally, with the client taking on more responsibility as their skill increases.

The Relational Circuit:

The second fundamental adds another level of complexity to our fundamental existence. In The Grounded Self we worked with our relationship to a static entity. In The Relational Circuit we will examine how to work with a dynamic entity. We will learn how to define physical and energetic boundaries, examine our reactions to contact, and learn skills to attune and synchronize to another person’s dynamic self. We will draw on the knowledge and skills of grounding during this process as we continue to expand our tolerance and resilience.

As in The Grounded Self, we will continue to develop an internal experience of sensing force, now applied to a dynamic relationship. between people. Progress will allow us to better form and maintain relationship at any intimacy: formal, friendly, familial and romantic.

The Collective Field:

The Collective Field is the third progression. Our ability to create a circuit with a dynamic being is now stretched by adding yet another being. Skill in the first two progressions is a necessity as our focus is neither on ourselves nor on another person, but on the field created by the group.

We explore a myriad of shapes, constellations, and flow, as well as working with the highs and lows of the self in a group relationship.

Progress is shown by increasing the ability to be part of something bigger than one’s self, to maintain the choice of attachment and detachment, and by continuing improvement of information transfer.

The Unified Earth:

The goal of our progression, we return to where we first started: a relationship with the earth. By engaging with the earth as a collective field, rather than an individual, we offer capacity for the subtle dynamism of the earth. We will learn to engage with the matter and energy of the planet at our fundamental level, as well as its own.
